Budget Christmas Trees

We have a limited range of cheap Christmas trees that we are selling as budget / "seconds" lines. These are still good, healthy trees but haven't met our high standards to meet the grade as premium trees. They may be less shapely than our premium trees or have imperfections such as a longer leader. These trees offer exceptional value for money for households on a budget.

We have plenty of trees available for you to choose from, grown here on our fields in Staffordshire Moorlands, near the Peak District. Choosing a Christmas Tree
Traditionally many different evergreen species were used as a Christmas tree. The most popular variety today is the Nordmann Fir, which is favoured for its soft, rounded, pet and child friendly needles and excellent needle retention over several weeks. Alternatively, many people still love the traditional Norway Spruce with its rich coniferous fragrance, which really adds to the Christmas atmosphere in the home. Our quick guide to different trees below may help you choose:

Fresh Cut Christmas Trees

  • Nordman Fir Fresh Cut Christmas trees - thick, soft, glossy needles. Wide base for presents. Excellent needle retention. Suitable for pets & children. Most popular tree in the UK.
  • Norway Spruce Fresh Cut Christmas trees - traditional Christmas tree. Popular since Victorian times. Broad triangular base. Rich coniferous fragrance. Best installed from mid December onwards.
  • Blue Spruce Fresh Cut Christmas trees - an attractive blue Coloured Spruce. Sharply pointed foliage. Conical shape. Sturdy branches, prefect for decorating without baubles falling to the floor.
  • Fraser Fir Fresh Cut Christmas trees - narrow, slender tree with branches angled upwards at 45 degrees. Perfect for smaller homes. Fits into porches & corridors. Plush deep green needles are soft and flat with a silvery hue to the undersides.
  • Noble Fir Fresh Cut Christmas trees - growing in popularity for its strong needle retention, distinct citrus fragrance and unique, upcurved, bi-coloured blue-green needles with streaks of white running along the full length of the underside of the needles.
  • Nordman Fir Slim Shape Fresh Cut Christmas trees - slimmer than the typical Nordman Fir, perfect for smaller spaces. Carefully pruned to maintain a compact, symmetrical tree that's still bushy and 'full' to the top of the tree.
  • Lodgepole Pine Fresh Cut Christmas Tree - if you’re looking for something different to the norm, the Lodgepole Pine has a striking appearance with upright branches and beautiful long needles. The name ‘Lodgepole’ comes from the way these trees were used as the main structure for lodges and teepees, build initially by native Americans and later by Europeans.

Pot Grown Christmas Trees

  • Nordman Fir Pot Grown Christmas trees - Carefully nurtured on our nursery and supplied in a plastic pot so you can put it in the garden after Christmas. Flat needles, rounded at the ends so won’t prick your pet, baby or toddler. Nordman Fir is the best selling tree in the UK and for good reason.
  • Norway Spruce Pot Grown Christmas Tree - Lovely rich coniferous fragrance, perfect for evoking the spirit of Christmas! Popular since Victoria times with short and thin, varying bright and deep green pointed needles. Stiff central branch ideal for your favourite Christmas angel, fairy or star.
  • Blue Spruce Pot Grown Christmas Tree - Luxurious, dense foliage with tantalising steely blue needles. Holds its needles well for up to a month with the right care. well with silver or white décor themes. Sturdy branches, prefect for decorating without baubles falling to the floor.
  • Fraser Fir Pot Grown Christmas Tree - Joint best needle retention with Nordman Fir (needle retention up to 5 weeks with the right care). Lovely balsam aroma, perfect for getting the festive spirit going! Plush deep green needles are soft and flat with a silvery hue to the undersides.
  • Korean Fir Pot Grown Christmas Tree - Soft, rounded, deep green needles with silvery-blue undersides that glisten in the light, giving its alternative name of Silver Fir. Needles are similar to Nordman Fir but shorter. Gives off a delicious fresh forest aroma, perfect for evoking the spirit of Christmas! This is the big advantage that Korean Fir has over the Nordman and, we think, the reason for its growth in popularity.
